WHO WE ARE
We are loggers — FULLY committed to doing what’s best for the future of our industry.
The Louisiana Logger’s Association, Inc., which began as the Louisiana Wood Haulers Association in 1976, was established by a dedicated group of timber professionals to advocate for loggers and wood haulers throughout Louisiana.
To effectively support and advance the logging industry today, it is crucial for loggers to have a say in shaping the legislative and regulatory frameworks that significantly impact their operations.
In 2020, the LLA underwent a reorganization to better align with its mission. With Louisiana loggers facing challenges due to an insurance crisis, having representation at the state capitol has become essential. To address this, a Political Action Committee (PAC) has been formed to champion the interests of our members. We have also expanded our Board of Directors to include more loggers and forged valuable relationships with legislators and associations in Baton Rouge. These strategic initiatives are producing positive outcomes that directly benefit the timber sector in our state.
The mission of the Louisiana Logger Association is to ensure the sustainability of logging and log hauling businesses in Louisiana while enhancing the reputation and profitability of its members.
